Why "Mecha"

"ˈmekə" refers to a genre of anime and manga that features giant robots or machines, often piloted by humans. This genre is a lot of fun to watch and even play as, so adding it as part of my nickname just came normal to me.

"Mecha" is also part of Mechanical as in mechanical design or game mechanics, which I find one of the most important aspects when developing games: entertaining mechanics.

The true origin to where "Mecha" came to me was with the character "Mecha Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. When I was around 11 years old and I came across the Youtube series "Super Mario Bros Z" by Mark Haynes. I was so fascinated by the character and the series that I started to use "Mecha" as part of my online name and it's stuck since.
